We are excited to partner with Wooden Valley to present this free event. Wooden Valley Winery was founded in 1933 at the end of Prohibition by Salvador and Manuel Brea. In 1944, they were joined by Mario Lanza who became sole owner in 1955. Mario expanded the winery to over 300 acres and ran it with his wife, Lena, who coined the phrase “see you soon in Suisun.” Their son, Richard “Chick” Lanza soon joined them and the winery remains a family affair, with Chick’s four sons, Rick, Ron, Larry and Ken, continuing the tradition of hospitality and winemaking their grandparents started. Wooden Valley Winery is the oldest continuous running winery in Solano County, having just celebrated its 90th anniversary.
Wooden Valley will be speaking on their history, their wine making, and pouring select wines! Enjoy learning something new and attend this free event.
