In 2021, the Vacaville Museum will lead the centennial celebration of a community land-mark that brought visitors to Solano County from all over the world. The 100th birthday of Solano’s beloved Nut Tree will be marked at the Museum with an exhibit, scheduled to open on February 13.

Vacaville Museum Registrar Heidi Casebolt and her team of volunteers are busy collecting Nut Tree artifacts and reviewing items in the Museum’s one-of-a-kind collection. The exhibit will feature all things Nut Tree, including displays of the restaurant, retail shops and the Post Office. The colorful art of Nut tree graphic artists, led by Don Birrell, will be displayed throughout the exhibit. Parents and grandparents will be able to share with a new generation of children replicas of the rocking horses and other memorabilia that made the Nut Tree a favorite stop for kids all over California.

We look forward to celebrating the Nut Tree Centennial with you. If you are interested in helping by donating or loaning Nut Tree memorabilia, or by sponsoring the exhibit, please contact us at (707) 447-4513.
