The Vacaville Museum’s Dinner for 8 or Tea for 12 fundraiser is back! With a Nut Tree twist to celebrate the Museum’s Nut Tree Centennial Exhibit in 2021. Here is your chance to get a winning ticket for a complete dinner party for 8 with your own favorite guests, or a delightfully presented garden tea for twelve with your most engaging friends. Both events will be prepared and served by our Museum Guild. These dinners have become memorable celebrations for the lucky winners.
Two winners will be drawn, one for each of the following. Dates to be determined with the winners and hosts.
Dinner for 8: Starting with cocktails and a tour of the Don Birrell (1922 – 2006) house. Mr. Birrell was the director of the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento from 1951 to 1953 and the design director of the Nut Tree from 1953 until his retirement in 1990. His home is filled with examples of his design work for the Nut Tree. After the tour you and your guests will be treated to a Nut Tree inspired dinner prepared and served by the lovely Museum Guild volunteers.
Tea for 12: Be prepared to enjoy a lovely Spring afternoon tea for up to twelve guests in the beautiful Cherry family garden on Buck Ave, followed by a special tour of the Nut Tree Centennial Exhibit at the Museum.
Your support of the Museum is invaluable, and we greatly appreciate your participation in Museum events, programs and fundraisers. We are enclosing four raffle tickets and a self-addressed envelope in the hope that you will either buy them for yourself or sell them to directly benefit the Museum. Simply fill out the ticket stubs and return them with the payment to the Vacaville Museum Guild by March 18th. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be filled out and entered by Museum staff.
Winning tickets will be drawn on Friday, March 19, and winners will be notified by phone. The first winner will select one of the events and the second winner will receive the remaining event. Get your guest list ready. We may be calling you as the winner!
