Aubrey Matthews on the Tuskegee Airmen
Aubrey Matthews is an avid historian of the Tuskegee Airmen, having spent extensive time studying, recording history of, and traveling, to discuss their impactful history on the USA and Air Force. The Tuskegee Airmen were a historically black group of fighter pilots, with the first aviation class of 13 cadets beginning ground school training on July 19, 1941. Those that were succesful went on to the segregated Tuskegee Army Airfield where they completed the Army Air Corps pilot training, paving the way for rights in the military.
